When I reflect on now

and how I got here somehow.

I think of loves past

life’s shadows cast.

–

All consuming,

unfolding

driving pain

letting go.

–

Awkward moments of silence,

the nervousness of new.

The fire of lust,

the need to just see it through.

–

All consuming,

unfolding,

driving pain,

letting go.

–

Baring body and soul,

yet never feeling the whole

Jealousy kicking in

as desire starts wearing thin.

–

All consuming,

unfolding,

driving pain,

letting go.

–

Broken hearts and fragility,

friendships lost and stability.

Down sizing house

loss of revenue,

losing confidence and ability.

–

All consuming,

unfolding,

driving pain,

letting go.

–

Then just when you’ve given up,

reside to be alone & out of luck.

Along comes that unique special one,

with open mind and so much fun.

–

All desiring,

feeling free,

loving gain,

completing me.
