Laundry Days by ForgottenBee

Photography by ForgottenBee

The gently knocking

the constant whirr,

I watch and contemplate

my life as I stare.

As the colours morph

forming limbs and forms.

The crescendo builds

as it whizzes around.

Floating thoughts of

autumn leaves,

early mornings,

self belief.

Lists to mark as actions complete.

Graffitied walls down urban streets.

Future plans,

tonight’s dinner,

kissing in the rain,

and being a lottery winner.

Sudden rushing water,

lights randomly flashing.

Between the thoughts,

my brain waves keep dashing.

Beeps and thuds

one final shudder,

the door clicks open

as my mind to reality recovers.
